Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 July 2026
The short version
Strata is a desktop log viewer. When you buy a license you can use the app on the machines your tier allows, for as long as you like. Don't share your license key, don't resell the app, and understand that it's provided as-is. That's most of it — the rest is detail.
1. Who you're dealing with
Strata is developed and published by the operator of getstrata.co.uk("we", "us"), based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at support@getstrata.co.uk.
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. That means Lemon Squeezy is the seller of the order and handles payment, invoicing, and applicable taxes. The software license itself is granted by us under these terms.
2. Your license
A Strata license is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It never expires and the app never stops working because of time passing.
Personal license: for one individual, on up to 3 machines that you personally use.
Business license: one seat per person using the app, licensed to your company. A seat can be reassigned when someone leaves the team.
Each license includes 12 months of updates from the date of purchase. After that, you keep using the last version your license covers — forever — and can optionally purchase an extension for another year of updates.
3. What you may not do
Don't share, publish, or resell your license key. Don't redistribute the app or bypass its license checks. Don't reverse engineer the software except where the law expressly permits it. We may deactivate keys that are leaked, resold, or abused.
4. Free tier and beta access
The free tier and beta access codes are provided free of charge and as-is. Beta codes are time-limited and may be revoked, and features may change or move between tiers before launch. We'll be sensible about it.
5. No warranty, limited liability
Strata is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We work hard to make it fast and reliable, but we can't promise it is free of bugs or fit for every purpose — always keep copies of important files.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Strata is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
6. Refunds and privacy
Refunds are covered by our refund policy (14 days, no questions asked). What little data we handle is described in the privacy policy.
7. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we'll update this page and the date at the top. Changes won't take away a license you've already bought.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep any protections your local law gives you.
