The short version
The Strata app collects nothing. No account, no telemetry, no analytics — your log files are read locally and never leave your machine. The only personal data we handle is your email if you join the waitlist, and order details if you buy a license.
1. The desktop app
Strata works entirely offline. It does not send your files, file names, searches, or usage data anywhere.
The one exception: when you activate or validate a license key, the app sends the key and your computer's hostname to Lemon Squeezy's licensing API so the key can be checked. That's the entire payload. If you never enter a key, the app makes no network requests at all on your behalf.
2. The waitlist
If you join the waitlist we store your email address with Loops, our email provider, and use it only to email you about Strata's launch. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list.
3. Purchases
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. They collect what a seller needs to process an order — name, email, payment details, and country (for tax). We never see your payment card details. We can see order information (your email, order ID, and license key) which we use for support and license management.
4. This website
The site sets no cookies. We use Vercel Analytics to count page views — it's cookieless and anonymised, builds no visitor profile, and doesn't track you across sites. Our hosting provider may also keep standard, short-lived server access logs (IP address, page requested) for security and operations, as virtually all hosts do.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it's used. Given the list above, this usually means removing you from the waitlist or pointing you to Lemon Squeezy for order data. Email support@getstrata.co.ukand we'll sort it out. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your data badly.
6. Changes
If this policy changes we'll update this page and the date at the top. We won't start collecting new kinds of data without saying so here first.
